Sonar for Active Tags (SATS) is a Windows Mobile application designed to aid personnel in locating Active RFID Tags in a truck, warehouse, or any other dense environment. SATS can be used to quickly locate distance-from-device of any in-range Active RFID tag, and give the operator a real-world distance measurement (in feet) to aid in finding the tag.

The RF Sonar screen gives operators a visual representation of the distance of selected tags from the device, displayed as red circles on the “sonar map”.
A “signal/distance” column displays the calculated real-world distance measurement for selected tags.

An easy-to-use signal-to-distance calibration tool makes device calibration easy, allowing an operator or technician to quickly “train” the device to know how far away a tag may be in a 2-step process. The results of the calibration are displayed in real time as the operator trains the device.
